Lovie #121 - Holo Silver Glitter

I love glitter polish. Especially if they have holo particles in them. This is an ordinary silver holo glitter polish. It was very inexpensive as I bought it in a swedish dollar store, kind of. But I like it because it has alot of glitter in it. You just need two coats to make it really sparkley. I don't normally wear it on it's own like this, I usually layer it, but I just wanted to show you this one by itself.

I'm in love with this black nail polish. I love the application and the end result. The only thing that bugs me a bit is the amount of top coat needed to make it glossy enough. If you don't use one, or in my case two, layers of top coat the holo sparkles doesn't show. But I have to say that the name of the polish is spot on! It really looks like small galaxies on every finger. Love it!

Snowy Nails

These are suitable for today when the snow is falling outside my window. The blue background is Color Clubs no. 896 "De-lux-cious", two coats. It's a dusky blue polish with glitter. I sponged on some white acrylic paint on my tips and made dots for snowflakes. And then top coated the whole thing. I love these, hope you like'em too! :)

Ombre Mani
This is my first ombre mani. It didn't turn out as I planned...sort of a fail but I kind of liked it anyways. The polishes looked way better together while still in the bottle, a lot less "ombre" on the nail unfortunatly. Here it is anyways...

The polishes I used are, starting from the pinkie: Color Club #867 Love'em/ Leave'em, IsaDora #86 Golden Breeze, IsaDora #68 Crystal Mauve, Claudia #179 In the dark and Orly Space Cadett on the thumb.

We have a new kitchen table. Yaaay! When we bought the house the previous owners left this aweful looking kitchen table behind. We didn't bother buying a new one since we were planning of re-doing the kitchen pretty soon. We've lived in our house for 3 years now and we still haven't come around to the kitchen yet.

So last week I couldn't stand looking at that hidious table anymore and went shopping for a new one. I think when it's put in the room all the other things will look really old and gnarly, wich might help us get the motivation going for starting the renovation of the whole kitchen. At least that is my plan! LOL!

Happy friday everyone! Well...it's friday the 13th. I'm not superstitious but this friday started off really bad! I was at home getting ready for work when I got a phone call from the emergency room, telling me that my mother was there with a broken arm. She was out walking this morning when she fell on a patch of ice and slammed her shoulder into the curb. The arm is broken just below the shoulder joint so they were not able to put plaster on it. She's fine now, heavily medicated, at home. So I guess I'll spend the weekend being her personal slave, lol!

To cheer myself up I looked at some pictures of my darling cats and realized it's been a while since I shared some with you guys, so here we go. Cat mania again! ;)

Rockstar Mani

This is also an oldie by now. I did this for one of the monday challanges we do on the facebook group Polish-aholics Anonomous. This is my take on a rockstar mani. The gold polish is China Glaze "2030". I stamped the tips with Konad special polish black. And the image is Konad aswell, m57. The black parts of my nail is acrylic paint, and the zipper is Chrome Silver from Stargazer.

The colors I used is just a regular black polish for the background. The rest is acrylic paints. I didn't come up with this design myself. I found it when I picture googled "heart mani". So for new years I did this really sparkley graphite gray mani. I didn't know how it would turn out but as layers was applyed I got more and more excited. This is so freaking georgeos! I can't stop staring at my nails!!!

So what I've used is as follows:

New Years 2012

As promised there will be a few more posts this week. So here's my NYE mani! Not the best pictures but these are all I have. This was a layering experiment and I will post more pics of that part tomorrow, just to keep you yearning a bit, lol!

The accent nail I can reveal today :) It's the wonderful silver holo "Greta" from Make Up Store. The numbers is painted on with acrylic black paint, and then top coated ofcourse.

Christmas Eve 2011

All the holidays are finally over and I'm glad. I do really enjoy it all but after new years I'm always fed up with it all and really want to get back to normal rutines and days again. I've been falling behind on my blogposts and by posting a few more this week than I usually do, I hope I catch up a bit. I'll start this week by showing you the mani I did for christmas eve. To match the dress I was wearing.

I finally had the time to take some pics in between the layers of this nail art, wich means I'll give you all a quick and easy tutorial, sort of.

Start by painting all your nails a dark ruby red. Let it dry, and sponge on
dark grey polish using a make up sponge.
These colors are Maybelline Volcanic Red, and Color Club Revvvolution.

After the gray has dried, add some black polish in the same way but keep
the sponging on the very tip of your nail, creating a gradient look.

Top coat and you're done!

It was quite hard to photograf this manicure. IRL it looks way more gradient and more sparkly with the grey CC holo. This is actually one of my favorite manis so far. I love sponging and I need to do it more often.

I've finally come around to photograf my christmas gifts! Yay! I also went bargain hunting the other day with Marie, on the annual christmas sales that occures during the days between Christmas and New years. Unfortuntly some of the pics ended up being really bad, but I don't have the time to redo them. So these will do! I will start showing you the nail related stuff.

My BF outdid himself, getting me 3 (!) bracelets that I wanted. This is two of
them. From the collection "Rock by Sweden".

This is thte third one. I ADORE IT! And him ofcourse :)

And we finally decided to buy a new TV!!! Yaaay! It was on sale. Now
we need a new bench for it...cause this looks bad! LOL!

Christmas is over and I'm feeling a bit sad actually. But new years is coming up so I still have som festive spirits left :) I'm going back to work today and haven't had time to photograf my christmas hauls yet so in the meanwhile I'll show you this swatch of a super georgeos red christmas-y polish from Isadora.

It's a very bright red color with tiny red glitters. I love the way it sparkles. I was planning on doing some stamping on it but I loved it on it's own. Isn't it pretty?

Christmas Tree Nails

I'm officially in love with this green glitter polish. Do you know wich one it is? Yes, it's Mistletoe kisses from China Glaze. For me, the perfect green. This is the first time I'm using it. I bought it this summer I think. It's georgeos! For the tree design I did a silver background, it's Color Clubs "What a drag", a foil polish. I dotted on the christmas tree using a dotting tool, and decorated it with some red sequins and a golden rhinestone for the top.

With this post I want to wish you all a merry christmas! I will be very busy over the weekend but I have a couple of more christmas-y nail designs to show you later. I hope you all have a great weekend.

Santa Nails

Way to yellow pic...sorry!

I'm quite pleased with the result of this one :) Although I ended up removing it right away because I was to impatient with the acrylic paints. I put on too much at once wich made it cracke during drying. I couldn't stand the cracks so I removed the santa design and did blue snow on all of them instead (like thumb and pinkie).

The blue background is Color Clubs no. 896 "De-lux-cious", two coats. It's a dusky blue polish with glitter. I sponged on some white acrylic paint on my tips and made dots for snowflakes. I used acrylic paint for the santa hat, face and belly too.

I can't belive it's christmas this weekend. The time really flies! I'm working all week and spending all my afternoons baking and cooking for christmas - wich I love to do! But my nails don't like it as much as me, so my mani looks horrible at the moment. But I figured I'll go with naked nails until I'm done. I'm currently planning some manicure fabulousness for christmas weekend :)

Layering experiment #1

So one of the girls in the facebook group Polish-aholics Anonymous posted about this layering experiment she did or found, I don't know, anyways I had to try it! And the result was amazing! I couldn't stop staring at my nails :)

So I started off with 2 coats of a holographic silver glitter. Doesn't matter wich one, just find one that has a good amount of glitters in it. I then layered one coat of Barielle Elle's spell on top of the glitter. Elle's spell is a red jelly polish with flakies in it. I haven't swatched it on it's own for you yet, but I will.

Here's a few pics on the result. As usual the pics doesn't do this mani justice. It's soooo much cooler IRL! I don't really like jelly finishes but this made me want a few more polishes like this to experiment with. The last pic shows the flakies of Elle's spell the best...Click on them to enlarge.

Nickelback - Trying not to love you

I've been home sick from work for 3 days and since I recieved my display fans a while back I decided to take the opportunity and start swatching. And boy, I've been swatching like a mad woman! LOL! After going through my collection of about 230 polishes I actually found some polishes I didn't like anymore and I decided to get rid of them. I haven't thrown them away, I'm still deciding on what to do with them. I might give them away to someone in need ;). But they are no longer a part of my collection, that's for sure.

So, I will show you some pics from my swatching mania...hope you like them!

Amsterdam haul - sort of!

My friend Marie spent the weekend in Amsterdam and being the little angel that she is, she bought me some nail polish! Yaay! :) A couple of weeks ago she also placed an order for some display fans and they also arrived in time for her coming home from Amsterdam. Crazy Flowered French

Every once in a while I can't seem to stop at the right moment decorating my nails. This one went a little over board and made it a failed mani in my opinion. Dots, flowers, stripes, glitter and stuff everywhere...a bit to much! But I wanted to show you guys anyways...

What I used for this mani is irrelevant. I just did an ordinary french mani and went crazy with some silver and black polish.

IKEA Maskros

I went on a shopping trip last saturday with my friend Marie. There's a IKEA pretty close to our town and we wanted to check it out. It's built together with a huge shopping mall aswell so we ended up spending the entire saturday over there. So much fun!

So, I've had my eyes on this cealing lamp for my livingroom for at least a year and I've finally managed to persuade my hubbie to let me get one. It's a huge white lamp that looks lika a withered dandelion. It really sounds horrible but I absolutly loooove it. Here's a couple of pics. Click on them to enlarge.

Secret Santa!

I think I've told you that I'm a member of a group on facebook called Polish-aholics Anonymous. Some girls on there decided to do a secret santa and I joined in ofcourse! The limit was set on $15 (ca 100 kr) and in the end all the European girls sent chrismas gifts to the American girls and the other way around. So much fun!

So on monday I recieved my package, from my secret santa Kristen in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Click her name to visit her blog. She is a very good shopper and managed to get me an awesome gift for $15. Let me just say that Sweden seems to be very expensive in comparision. You don't get much for $15 (100 SEK) over here. Anyways back to my fantastic gift!!!

I got home from work and found this box on my kitchen table. (Click on the pics to enlarge!)

I was dying to open it but my fiance forced me to eat dinner first, and I don't think I have ever eaten that fast before. LOL! Here's what I found in the box...

I nearly died when I saw the EIGHT little gift wrapped cuties! And chocolates...mmmm!!! Chocolate covered cranberries and a "cow pie". No it's not cow poo, as my fiance thought, it's pecans covered in caramel and milk chocolate. Yum!

Look at those glitters! I can't belive that I almoust got the whole Ice Baby Collection from Wet n Wild! I was jumping up and down by now and my fiance kept telling me to breath, lol! Here's a closer look...

As always it's quite hard to capture glitter on camera. This is the best pic so far. I can't wait to try all of them. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

This was so much fun and I can't wait to do it again. How about a secret valentine? :)

I used: Make up Store "Madeleine" as the background, a holographic nude/beige color. I stamped the snake skin pattern with a brown polish, no.179 "In the dark" by Claudia. The pattern comes from the imageplate BM215 from Bundle Monster.

A pic from before I had to move into 2 more drawers. LOL!

I have finally finished the document over my entire nail polish collection! I was laughing quite hard when I realized I had put the same number on 3 different bottles...I guess it's all the polish fumes that makes me confused!

To explain how I store my polishes and how I organize them I give you this picture. I swatch all my colors on nail wheels and number them. I then put a small sticker on every nail polish cap with a matching number. This method works best for me.

But this means that my document isn't organized by brand, but by the same numbers as my swatching wheels. Anyways...I'll stop jabbering and give you the link to the document instead. If you're interested click here. I might do another doc soon...organized by brand instead. I don't know...

Halloween Spiders

For the dark green background I used Maybelline no. 720 - Green Miracle. I then sponged on some China Glaze Mistletoe kisses half way up my nails with a make up sponge. And then to brighten it a bit I also sponged on some Color Club Magic Elf. On my ring finger I did the bow for depression awareness with some large metallic green glitters.

Anyone else out there who works with costumer service? Anyone else who feels like punching the freaking daylights out of the next person who opens their mouth?

Why are people so flippin vierd? Can´t they do anything themselves? Sometimes I feel like I'm in a hidden camera show. It's amazing how dumb people are!

This post sure makes me sound like an evil bitch who's full of her self but I promise...today I'm working in a fucking mental institution. Maybe I'm the one who needs to be admitted, I don't know. LOL!

Bloody Halloween

Halloween isn't a big holiday in Sweden...yet! It's sort of a new holiday for us but the last couple of years I've noticed a big change. There are now costumes available, orange pumpkins and kids go trick or treating aswell. So I guess we don't really have a choice but to start celibrating yet another american thingy...but I kinda like it! :)

So this mani is one quick and quite simple halloween nail art design I did for this weekend. I used a simple grey background to make a dramatic contrast to the alarming red blood. I would have used a white background if my white polish hadn't sucked so much. I picked this light grey instead. And then I used a dotting tool to make the blood. Simple but fun I think. And with halloween being such a new holiday in Sweden I also did my first ever carved pumpkin this weekend...what do you think? I actually can't wait for next year, so I can try out some other carving ideas that I have. LOL!

I guess I have to begin this post by apologizing in advance for my bad temper. I'm blaming the hormons since I have the monthlies, lol!

This issue has been bugging me for quite some time now and today I've had it!

What's up with all the lame commersials talking about how wonderfully sexy and womanly you will feel while using certain products? I won't mention the brands here, b/c I refuse to do free advertising.

Hair shampoo that makes you sensual, tampons that makes your flow feel like butterflies, pads that makes your flow smell like roses, foundation that makes you feel like a real woman and so on. I'm so freaking sick of it!

There is no pink, glittery, cutesy, girly, sexy, sparkly thing in this world that makes menstration fun! Doesn't matter how many celebrities that say I'm worth it. I don't care! So f*ck off!

I'm a real freaking woman, not a barbie. I bleed, I puke, I poop, I don't bleach my a-hole, I have hairy legs if I don't shave and belive it or not...my freaking menstruation smells! Deal with it!

Breast Cancer Awareness 2011

These are the pink nails I did this year for breast cancer awareness month. Click here to se last years.For this one I used a bright barbie pink polish as a base, this is Isadora no. 78 called "Vivid Pink". I layered it with a flakie from Make Up Store called "Lava". For the accent nail I used a light metallic pink from Max Factor called "Angel nails" no. 882. For the ribbon I used a pink glittery nail art polish from Lovie.

This is a beautiful foil polish from China Glazes' Khrome Collection (2009). It's a very nice soft gold color and I love it. The only bad thing I found was that the finish is not very forgiving, it shows every imperfection of your nails...like ridges, bumps and stuff. Oh well...

Gradient Blue

I really love this design. It turned out way better than I expected. The sponging is the best one I've done so far.I started off painting my nails a vivid blue, this is Isadora no. 78 - Bugatti Blue. I then sponged on a silver polish on the tips of my nails, using an ordinary make up sponge. The silver polish I used is an opaque silver foil polish from Color Club called "What a drag".

I could have left it at that but I took it one step further. I topped the whole thing off with a silver glitter polish from Essence called "Mystic Mermaid". It's a glitter polish with super tiny silver glitter that shifts in blue aswell. This made my gradient really perfect.

Here's the polish I used for my newspaper mani. It's a very pretty baby blue with a creamy finish. It came in a set of four mini bottles from H&M. I really like the color but let me just say that the application was horrible!

I don't know if I got a bad bottle or if it's just this blue one in the set that applies vierd but I hate it! The formula wouldn't let me swipe over the same area of my nail twice, because then the first swipe of polish would get lumpy and sort of come loose and stick together with the second swipe...a bit hard to explain, but it sucked anyway!

I would not recommend someone to buy this one. It's a shame since the color is so pretty.

This is Isadora - Glitzy Amethyst #26, a polish I adore! The pics really don't do it justice. I always find it hard to photograph purple shades, it's really hard to capture the right color. These pics where the most color correct. Although in real life I would say it's a bit more red. It's a very pretty, sort of metallic red-ish purple. I love it!

My bathroom is a joke! And it's not safe at all. It hasn't been redone since the 60's when the house was built. It has a built-in bathtub that makes it impossible to clean under. Some of the tiles are broken and back in the 60's there was no law on waterproofing your bathroom. That means that my bathroom is a danger to my house and could be to our health if we get a moisture damage.

And on top of everything, it's so freaking ugly! I can't stand to look at these baby blue tiles one more day. The rest of my house looks awesome after ALOT of redecorating but we haven't had the money to redo the bathroom yet. Wouldn't it be great if you all helped me make this dream come true?

Depend nr 115, en mörk krämig lila som jag älskar. Släng på lite glitter på den här och jag behöver aldrig ha något annat nagellack...kanske...eller jo...glöm va jag sa. Haha, snygg är den iaf.

Jag har påbörjat ett nytt litet projekt kan man väl säga. Då jag är lite drabbad av problemhy och har testat de flesta kurer, krämer och rengöringsprodukter har jag nu ramlat över något som gav mig lite hopp. Något som faktiskt låter helt logiskt i min hjärna, och borde fungera. Det kallas OCM (Oil Cleansing Method).

Man rengör alltså ansiktet med olja! Ja det låter verkligen helt mysko men när man tänker efter och läser lite mer om det så känns det ganska logiskt...fett löser upp fett. Om Ni vill läsa mer om hur det går till så kan Ni klicka här. När jag läste det inlägget bestämde jag mig för att prova.

Grundtanken är i alla fall att man använder ricinolja till ansiktet. Men då denna olja faktiskt (!) är uttorkande behöver man späda den med en annan valfri ekologisk kallpressad olja. Jag vet att många automatiskt tänker på olivolja men då jag inte är så förtjust i det, varken vad gäller smak eller doft så valde jag rapsolja. Ok, det luktar inte heller så gott men ändå.

Jag har blandhy, vilket innebär att jag blir riktigt fet på vissa ställen i ansiktet och torr och fnasig i andra. Därför valde jag att göra en oljeblandning med 25% ricin och 75% raps. Jag har gjort rent ansiktet 3 ggr med denna blandning och måste säga att jag märker en liten skillnad redan.

Första gången jag gnuggade ansiktet med oljan kunde jag känna hur små partiklar lossnade från hudytan. Andra gången desto mindre. Tredje gången kände jag ingenting men tycker mig märka en skillnad på den egna produktionen av talg i ansiktet. Men det har egentligen gått alldeles för kort tid för att säga något definitivt. Jag ska ge det några veckor till innan jag bestämmer mig om det är en bra eller dålig metod.

English: I've started a new project, kind of. My complexion isn't the best. I've tried like hundreds of different cures, cleaning products and face creams, non of them making me feel better about my face. So just a few weeks ago I stumbled upon this "new" thing called OCM (Oil Cleansing Method) where you're supposed to clean you face with oil. I know, it sounds pretty disgusting but when you think about it a bit more it makes a lot of sence. Because oil dissolves oil and is a natural product. Read more about how it's done here.

The thought is to clean your face with castor oil. But since that oil is very strong and makes your skin dry you have to blend it together with another vegatable, cold-pressed and organically grown oil. I know a lot of people use olive oil but since I don't like the smell or taste of it I used canola instead.

I have combination skin which makes part of my face oily and other parts dry and flaky. Therefore I made a blend of 25% castor oil and 75% canola. I've used it 3 times so far and I have to say that I can tell a difference!

The first time I tried it I could feel small particles loosen from my face. Kind of nasty but it felt great after. The second time was nice and the third time I didn't feel anything coming off my face. I've used it way to little to be able to say if it's good or bad yet but I will give it a couple more weeks and then I'll get back to you.

I used: Isadora Glitzy Anethyst (#26) for the background color, and then splattered my nails using a straw (and my now allmoust collapsed lungs). The colours I used for the splatter is China Glaze 2030 (#847) and Stargazer Chrome Blue (#233).

Nu var det länge sen jag skålade för något speciellt känner jag. Visserligen har det skålats ganska rejält hela sommaren men då mest för alkoholens härliga påverkan på en semesterlugn kropp. Idag har jag jobbat klart min första vecka efter semestern och inser att det har hänt en hel del saker som är värda en ordentlig skål!

Isadora 716 - Beach Khaki

Det här är Beach Khaki (nr 716) från Isadoras sommarkollektion. Ett ljusgrått lack som torkar lite halvmatt. I flaskan ser lacket ut att ha ett rosa skimmer också men det syns tyvärr inte på naglarna. Jag gillar det ändå. En fräsch färg på något vis, trots att det är grått.

English: This is Beach Khaki (#716) from the summer collection of Isadora. It's a light grey polish that dries a bit matte. There's a pink shimmer to it in the bottle that unfortunatlt doesn't transfer to the nails but I like it anyways. It feels fresh and summery even though it's a "boring" color like grey.

Shattered ocean

Jag använde: Depend 252 som bakgrund och Isadora Black Tag nr 801 på toppen, ett krackeleringslack alltså. Och avslutat med ett topplack för att få det blankt då krackeleringslacket torkar matt.

I used: Depend 252 as a background and Black Tag #801 from Isadora, a shatter polish. It dries matte so I topped everything of with SV top coat.

Design # 101

Snake Skin

Jag använde: Ett ljust guldfärgat lack i botten, minns inte vilket. Sedan duttade jag dit olika akrylfärger med en make up svamp på olika delar av naglarna. Jag klippte sedan ut bitar av myggnät som klädde in ett finger i taget med. Duttade med svart akrylfärg över nätet och detta blev resultatet. Toppat med toplack för att få det blankt.

I used: A light gold polish as a background, can't remember which one though. Then I sponged on some different acrylic paints on different parts of each nail. After that was dry I used mosquito net strips to cover one nail at a time and sponged black acrylic over that to make the scaly effect. Finished it with a top coat to make it clossy and to last longer since acrylic paints are water based.

Då var det dags för mitt första swatch-inlägg. Detta är Depend nr 252, ett extremt snyggt blått lack med glasglitter. Detta är definitivt ett av mina blåa favoriter! På bilden har jag målat två lager för att få lacket så täckande som möjligt.

English: My first swatch post ever! Yeeey!!! This is a georgeos blue polish with glass flecks in it, from Depend, a Swedish brand. This is def one of my favorite blues. This is two coats to make it opaque.

Girly Pink Butterflies

Jag använde: Depend nr 86 som bakgrund, 2 lager. Samt ett lager rosa glitter från Wet n Wild, "sparked". Fjärilarna kommer från Konads bildplatta nr m78. Visst passade manikyren min topp bra? (Den jag håller i)

I used: 2 coats of a shimmery pink from Depend, no 86, as my background. Topped it with a pink glitter from WnW called Sparked. The butterflies comes from Konad Imageplate m78. (This mani totally matched my top, right? The one I'm holding,)

Gold Glitter Mani(ac)

Jag använde: Två olika guldglittriga nagellack. Två lager med Lovies guldglitter (Nr. 123) och ett lager med "All about you" (Nr.921) från Sinful Colors. Samt dekorationer med ett vanligt svart lack. Detta kom från Depend.

I used: Two different gold glitter polishes. I started off with two coats of a goldglitter from a brand called Lovie (no. 123), wasn't satisfied and added one coat of "All about you" (No. 921) from Sinful Colors. Then I did a simple design with black polish, this one comes from Depend - a swedish inexpensive brand.

Först ut är en bild på platsen där jag oftast målar mina naglar, eftersom jag förvarar lacken i skrivbordslådorna. >>> This is where I usually do my nails. I keep my polishes in the drawers of my desk.

I översta lådan står dom, alla mina 175 st älsklingar. Får inte plats med fler i den lådan så jag måste nog omorganisera hurtsen en aning. >>> Here they are, my darlings. There's 175 bottles in the top drawer. Can't fit another bottle in there so I need to start on a new one.

I andra lådan förvarar jag mina bas- och topplack och andra behandlingar/nyttigheter för naglarna, samt allt som har med nail art att göra; akrylfärg, penslar, dotting tools, glitter, paljetter, strasstenar, stripers, stickers, folie, Konad stamping och mina nagelhjul. >>> In the second drawer I keep my base and top coats along with other nail treatments and alot of decorations such as; acrylic paints, brushes, dotting tools, glitters, sequins, rhinestones, stripers, stickers, nail foils, Konad stamping and as you can se my nail wheels.

Den tredje lådan är inte så skojig. Där förvarar jag mina tomma nagelhjul, nagelfilar, aceton, bomull och annat tråk. >>> The third drawer isn't that fun. This is where I store my empty nail wheels, nail files, buffers, removers, cotton and such.

Äntligen! Jag har önskat mig en systemkamera länge. Läääänge! Efter lite efterforskning av min käre sambo har jag äntligen köpt en. Beställde den på nätet tisdag morgon, fick hem den onsdag eftermiddag. Snacka om snabbleverans! Nu gäller det bara att förstå sig på den. Auto-läget är ju enkelt, bara att knäppa, men med en manual på 260 sidor så förstår ni kanske att det finns lite inställningar att leka med :) Det ska bli riktigt roligt att lära sig lite mer om fotografering.

English: Finally! I've wanted a SLR for a long time, for ages to be correct. And now I've finally decided to get one. My hubbie did some research and the one I got seems to be awesome :) I ordered it online tuesday morning and it arrived wednesday afternoon. Talk about fast delivery! Now I have to learn to understand how it works, LOL! The auto settings are a piece of cake, just a click and you're done. But I have a user guide with 260 pages, that kinda gives you an idea of how many settings you can play around with. It's going to be fun learning more!

Monarch Butterfly

Jag har använt: Två orangea lack från Depend, en ljus med skimmer nr 242, samt ett mörkare krämlack nr 24. Med hjälp av en make-up svamp har jag gjort naglarna gradvis mörkare neråt tippen. Sedan dekorerat nageln med svart akrylfärg och vitt nagellack.

I used: Two orange colors from Depend, a light with shimmer no. 242 and a darker creme no. 24. I used a sponge and made the nails gradient. Then did the butterfly deco using a black acrylic paint and white polish.

Jag var ju och byggde ut min tatuering i veckan. Nu har det läkt så pass mycket att jag vill visa Er bilder. Från början med den 12 år gamla rosbuketten till 2011 års slutresultat :)

English: This week I went to the tattoo studio to continue on my butterfly tattoo. It's been healing for a couple of days now and I now feel ok to show you. Starting out with the 12 year old rose tattoo, finishing it all with the 2011 update :)

Tjaba, tjena, hallå! Precis just nu sitter jag i min säng. Jag har fönstret öppet och det regnar utanför. Siri ligger på fönsterbrädan och försöker fånga vattendroppar. Små kalla vindpuffar får min hud att knottra sig och vet ni? Idag jobbar jag mitt sista fredags-kvälls-pass innan semestern. Efter idag har jag bara en halvdag kvar. Fyra timmar imorgon, sen är det dags. Åh ljuvliga semester!!!

I'm working my last evening shift today, before my vacation. After today I've only got half a day tomorrow left before it's finally time to relax like crazy. Can't wait. Twinkle hearts

Jag använde: Två lager av Color Clubs "wink, wink, twinkle" till bakgrunden och små rosa/blå/lila skimmrande paljetthjärtan som dekoration.

I used: Two coats of the "wink, wink, twinkle" from Color Club as a background. And then added small sequin hearts that shifts in color from pink to baby blue and soft purple.

Om ca 2 timmar påbörjar jag min sista arbetsvecka innan semestern. Det är fan på tiden. Jösses vad less jag är just nu. Eller vaddå less? Jag är så långt förbi less man kan komma, vi säger spyfärdig istället! Jag känner hur mitt humör inte vill samarbeta, hur varenda cell i min kropp kämpar för att inte explodera. Den minsta lilla motgång får mig att vibrera av ilska, jag tycker att de flesta kunder är idioter och de flesta andra personer runt omkring mig också. Haha!

Rent kroppsligt känner jag mig också helt slut. Tröttare än trött! Tror allvarligt talat att jag skulle kunna sova i 24 timmar. Fast hela helgen har jag vaknat tidigt. Pigg som en lärka, uppe vid halv sju. Idag vaknade jag samma tid och trodde det var natt, helt vimmelkantig. Bara för att jag vet att det är dags för jobbet igen.

Men det är inte långt kvar nu, 5 st arbetspass totalt. 34,5 timmar för att vara exakt! Det kommer nog vara de längsta 34,5 timmarna i mitt liv men sen så....jösses vad jag ska njuta. Det bästa med denna vecka är dock att jag har ett par delmål att se fram emot.

Först och främst har vi onsdag. Då smygstartar jag min semester med att ha en ledig dag :) Jag ska åka till Borlänge då, och bygga ut min tattuering. På kvällen blir det bio med min fina vän Marie, sista delen av Harry Potter. Torsdagskvällen bjuder på en after work och sen är det bara fredag- och lördagspasset kvar.

Äh, fuck it! Nu kör vi! Ciao!

Frosty Blue
Det här är verkligen inte en design jag är stolt över. Den var bara en snabb och tillfällig lösning då jag hade bråttom iväg för några veckor sedan. Valde blått för att matcha min klänning. Det fina ljusblåa metallic-lacket kommer från Stargazers Chrome serie.

Enlish: This is really not one I'm proud of. I was in a hurry and did this one faster than ever. Chose this pretty blue to match my dress but I don't know why I messed it up with those vierd dots. Should have left it plain with the metallic baby blue from Stargazers' Chrome collection, cause it's a georgeos blue!

Update: Trädgårdsprojekt 2011

Hej på Er! Ni kanske minns att vi påbörjat lite nya trädgårdsprojekt denna vår/sommar? Om inte kan Ni klicka här. Jag tänkte nu dela med mig av lite nya bilder vad gäller ett av projekten. Fler kommer till helgen tror jag...

Förklaring: Det är alltså en plantering som förut satt ihop med kortsidan av vårt land som har grävts bord. Mitt i planteringen fanns en gammal stubbe från ett plommonträd och den fick Toni kämpa lite extra med. I och med att vi tar bort planteringen måste vi fixa till kortsidan på landet, det är vad plankan är till för. Vi ska dock byta ut alla plankor runt landet i höst när vi skördat, så än så länge är det lite provisoriskt. Men det ska läggas en rad plattor närmast plankan samt sås gräs på resten av jorden. Alltså kommer det fler bilder...

English: This is a flower bed that we are removing from our garden. It used to be combined with the lot where we grow veg and stuff. In the middle of the bed there was an old stump that my BF Toni had to get rid off, he worked pretty hard at it. Since we're removing the flower bed we had to make a propper ending to the growing lot, so that's what the plank is for. We are actually replacing all of the planks around the lot this autumn, but until then this is sort of a temorary solution. We will also be butting down some tiles and grow new grass. Yes, more pics will come soon...

Lupin Nails

Jag är inte helt nöjd med denna design. Den blev inte som jag hade tänkt mig men eftersom jag tog mig tiden att fotografera varje steg i målningen så har jag nedan sammanställt en liten video över hur man går till väga för att skapa denna look.

Translation: I'm not that thrilled over this design but since I made the effort of taking pics of the steps I guess I'll share my first ever tutorial with you guys anyways. I hope you like it!

Utveckling av bloggen

Hej min kära läsare,

Ni kanske har märkt att bloggen blivit tvåspråkig? Anledningen till detta är att jag på sistone fått en hel del nya följare från andra länder. Dessa underbara människor följer min blogg främst för den avdelning som handlar om naglar. Och därför har jag bestämt mig för att utveckla den delen lite mer.

Jag kommer inom kort påbörja en liten omorganisering av bloggen, med lite nya kategorier och sidor; lackhjul, färgprover, flaskbilder, omdömen osv. Men jag kommer ta det lite successivt, eftersom jag har över 160 st lack att gå igenom. ^^

Jag hoppas att Ni andra, icke nagellacksgalningar, ändå kommer fortsätta läsa min blogg då jag även i fortsättningen kommer blanda upp nagelinläggen med katter, husbilder, trädgård och annat som händer i mitt liv.

Hoppas Ni som har semester njuter riktigt ordenligt! Och Ni andra kämpar på i samma anda som jag; dvs. att försöka se så upptagen ut som möjligt utan att verkligen vara det! ^^

As I know most of my readers are as crazy about nails and polish as me, I've been thinking about making this blog a bit more nail-crazy! I will be showing nail wheels, bottleshots, swatches, and reviews in the future. But I'm gonna have to do it little by little since I have over 160 polish to work my way through ^^.

But I don't want to make this a pure nail blog since this sort of is my diary. So I will still be posting about my cats, my house and garden and other stuff that happens. But I will be translating most of it.
